Position Overview

We are Salish Elements, an Indigenous-owned hydrogen company making reliable and regenerative hydrogen (rH2) fuel supply a reality in British Columbia. Our mission is to work with First Nations and become leaders in a global shift to green energy; advancing an equitable, regenerative economy that serves the lands, waters, and people. For the last 3 years, we have been developing our core market-offering, rH2, and are now working toward construction of our first hydrogen production utility. We need your expertise to continue to grow.

We’re looking for a driven Marketing Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will demonstrate an eagerness and creative spirit committed to bringing big ideas to life. This is an exciting opportunity for someone early in their career who’s eager to grow, learn, and make a real impact. You’ll help shape our marketing approach, generate leads, and tell the story of how renewable hydrogen can power a better future.

Key Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

📝 Content Marketing

  • Create and manage engaging content across digital channels (social, blog, email, etc.)
  • Support storytelling that reflects our values and amplifies Indigenous voices
  • Ensure brand consistency throughout all materials

📈 Demand Generation

  • Assist in planning and executing campaigns to attract and convert B2B leads
  • Collaborate on email marketing, webinars, and targeted outreach strategies

🔍 Market Analysis

  • Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, and customer segments
  • Help identify opportunities for growth and differentiation

🤝 Community Engagement

  • Support initiatives that build relationships with Indigenous communities
  • Contribute to culturally respectful and inclusive marketing efforts

Qualifications, Preferred Skills & Experience

Who You Are

  • Early-career marketer with 1–5 years of experience (internships count!)
  • Familiar with B2B marketing principles and tools
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Curious, proactive, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment

 

Desired Qualifications

  • University degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, Design, or related field or equivalent experience
  • Have developed relevant prior marketing materials, campaigns, and projects
  • Previous experience working in a First Nations community and/or organization is an asset
  • Knowledge, awareness, and understanding of cultural and socio-economic history
  • Graphic or Web design experience and capabilities is a plus
